Suitable for: Ages 8+ (Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult)

Workshop 

Join professional silversmith Jemica  for a hands-on, creative journey into the art of ring making using recycled metals such as copper, aluminium and brass for practice and then silver to make your showcase peice.

 Focus lesson on  stretching, spattern making, soldering, patina dyes,  sanding and polishing metal techniques and so much more!

 Make 2-4 rings by the end of the class in your choice of metals 

You’ll learn the foundational techniques of silversmithing, including forming, texturing, mark-making, and polishing. Under expert guidance, you'll use traditional tools such as hammers, pliers, stamps,  soldering skills and and files to create 2–4 custom custom rings 

Explore various texturing techniques to personalise each piece, such as hammered surfaces or filed patterns. Whether you're new to silversmithing or building on existing skills, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore the craft in a creative, eco-conscious way.

What You’ll Learn

• Basic bangle/ ring  forming and sizing

• Metal texturing and surface patterning

• Filing, finishing, and polishing techniques

• Use of silversmithing tools and safety practices

What’s Included

•  sheets of Aluminium, Copper, Brass  and precious silver 

• All tools, stamps, files, hammers, and equipment

• Use of apron during the workshop

• Gift box to store and take home your finished bangles

• Polishing compounds, sandpaper, and mops provided

What to Bring/Wear

• Enclosed shoes (compulsory)

• No loose or flowy clothing (safety precaution)

• Hair tied back

• Reading or focal glasses (for close-up detail work)

• Minimum participants: 3

• Maximum participants: 6 (to ensure personal tuition)
