Cancellation policy

We understand at Grounded village that sometimes life happens and that sometimes things are unavoidable, however as a small business we  do outlay costs for materials, book  & pay our artists based on the amount of numbers booked for that session , therefore our policy is as stated below.

WORKSHOPS: As you know we call in some pretty cool artists and facilitators here at grounded,  there is minimum attendee amounts to run these awesome workshops. Once our artist has been booked and number of guests confirmed with them, we are now unable to change your booking.

in some cases  with notice a credit for another workshop may be able to granted depending on the artist.  This is also  subject to the amount of attendees in the workshop at the time,  if your cancelled booking takes this number under attended amounts we cannot credit your event.

If you do need to cancel your workshop, we  suggest sharing you booking with a friend as unfortunatly we do not offer refunds.

If we at grounded village need to cancel the workshop, due to not meeting numbers or unavoidable circumstances, you will be offered a credit, refund  or to transfer to the next workshop date. 


EVENTS : Our events are similar to our workshops, once our artist has been allocated attendees for the event we are unable to cancel or exchange your booking ,see above workshop.

Please always reach out as we will do our best to accommodate the situation the best we can.

ART CLASS  Once booking is made for Art class, we buy the allocated materials for the term. We do not refund on term art classes. this applies especially for sold out classes as we have closed off and prevented others from signing up.

We will  however address the situation on a case by case basis and On management discretion. Any classes attended will incur the  one off class fee amount of $30.00 per session and a admin fee.


Art class runs for 9 weeks per term and is $220.00 payable before the the 3rd week of term

You are most welcome to pay as you go however this is a $30.00 per class fee

 $30.00 one off class fee  is valid for the week of purchase only - these classes are not transferrable, if you are unable to attend we cannot refund, transfer or credit these classes.

If you are unsure if art class is for you , we suggest purchasing  one time trial class to see if you like the session, if you do go ahead with your term art class, the one off session will be deducted from your  full term fee.

There are no refund on deposits as this goes into class prep for the term, and holds your space therefore others miss out on booking in some cases.

Catch up classes: If staff need to cancel or change a class, a make-up lesson or similar will be offered, Students that cannot make their weekly class,  are most welcome to join in another class that week by letting our team know.


EVENT & SPACE HIRE  If within 14 days we can cancel your booking minus 50% of booking fee paid. If after 14 days your booking fee will be void as we have lost the time to hire or run the space.

The date will only be confirmed once booking deposit is received.

If hiring the studio for a private function or event to host yourself,  a seperate agreement will be signed upon booking- if you need a staff member to attend the for whatever reason out of business hours a  $80.00 call out fee will be charged.

* It may be noted staff may not be available to attend in some cases.


Once final numbers  have been submitted and booking confirmation confirmed we we most likely have purchased supplies and equipment for your party.

The booking fee of $100 is non refundable - if you do need to cancel at very late notice 50% of your final invoice will be deducted and the remaining refunded.

NO SHOWS, We do not credit, refund or exchange  on not showing up to your workshop, event, party class or any guests that are no show to birthday parties.
