๐ŸŒฟ Grounded Village โ€“ Policies & FAQs

At Grounded Village, we understand that life happens. While we always aim to be accommodating, we also work closely with talented artists and facilitators, and their time and materials are valuable. Please take a moment to read through our policies to understand how we manage bookings, cancellations, and refunds.

๐ŸŽจ WORKSHOPS

We work with incredible artists and facilitators, and many of our workshops require a minimum number of attendees to proceed. These numbers vary per artist.

  • Once a workshop has been confirmed and your booking secured, we cannot offer refunds or credits if you can no longer attend.

  • We suggest gifting or transferring your ticket to a friend if you're unable to make it.

  • In some cases, and with sufficient notice, a credit for another workshop may be issued. This is:

    • Subject to the artistโ€™s approval

    • Dependent on the minimum number of attendees still being met after your cancellation

  • If your cancellation causes the workshop to fall below minimum numbers, unfortunately, we cannot offer a credit.

  • If Grounded Village cancels a workshop, you will be offered the choice of:

    • A credit

    • A refund

    • A transfer to the next available workshop

๐Ÿšซ No-shows or late cancellations are not eligible for refund, credit, or exchange.

๐ŸŽ‰ EVENTS

Events follow the same policy as workshops.

  • Once your booking is confirmed, we cannot cancel or exchange tickets.

  • Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel, a new deposit is required for a future booking.

  • Please reach outโ€”we will always do our best to accommodate where possible.

๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ ART CLASSES

  • Once you book into a term, we purchase materials for your place. Therefore, term bookings are non-refundable, especially for sold-out classes.

  • If you're unsure whether Art Class is for you, we highly recommend a one-time trial class. If you go ahead with the term, your trial fee will be deducted from your term fee.

Art Class Fees:

  • Full term (9 weeks): $240, payable by Week 2 of term - non payment will mean you child may not be able to continue lessons. communication is key here.

  • Casual / Pay-as-you-go: $30 per class

    • Valid only for the week the trial is booked

    • Not transferable or refundable if missed

Make-Up Classes:

  • If Grounded Village cancels a class, a make-up will be offered.

  • If your child misses a class, they may join another session that same week (based on availability).

๐Ÿก EVENT & STUDIO HIRE

  • A booking deposit secures your date.

  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable if you cancel, as we may lose other bookings.

  • Booking is confirmed only upon receipt of deposit.

  • For private events, a separate agreement will be signed.

  • If you require a staff member to attend outside business hours, a $80 call-out fee applies.

    • Staff may not be available in all cases.ย

๐ŸŽ‚ BIRTHDAY PARTIES

  • Your party is not confirmed until the $100 booking deposit is received.

  • The deposit is non-refundable.

    • If cancelled at late notice, 50% of the final invoice will be deducted and the remainder refunded.

  • Final guest numbers are due 5 days before the party.

  • Full payment is required 3 days prior to the event.

๐Ÿšซ No-shows for guests or hosts are not eligible for refund, credit, or exchange.

Access and Inclusion Statement

At Grounded Village, we believe creativity belongs to everyone. We are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment where people of all abilities, backgrounds and identities feel safe, supported and inspired to create.

We strive to make our studio and experiences as accessible as possible. Our facilitators are caring, flexible and happy to adapt activities where we can, so participants feel comfortable and confident taking part. We celebrate different ways of learning, creating and expressing, and we honour individual needs, preferences and abilities. Support workers are welcome free of charge for support.

Our space is designed to feel supportive and inclusive. We do occasionally have highly stimulated areas so please check in if this is a concern.ย  We encourage open communication and welcome conversations about access requirements, sensory considerations, learning differences, cultural needs or anything else that may help us support you or your child more fully.

If you have specific access needs or would like to discuss adjustments prior to booking, we warmly invite you to reach out to us and we will help where we can. While not every experience may suit every individual, we will always do our best to work with you to find an option that feels right.

Grounded Village is proud to be a creative community built on kindness, respect and connection โ€” where everyone belongs.
