Metal smithing experience- Mon 16th March

 Choose to attend single workshops or purchase as a bundle 

Workshops run for 4 hours  each & will  focus on a different skill / technique and project for each workshop

SESSION  1- Monday 16th March - 10am- 2pm  Introduction to metal smithing with the use of saw, drill and metal glues using Aluminium, brass and copper fabrics- Make up to 2 pieces of your choice - choose your own designs from key rings, earrings, badges, necklace, design your own.

-Choose  your design and a selection of metals  to choose to design from. Explore the texture and sawing, cutting , polishing and finishing techniques of metalsmithing

 Children’s / Adults  Intro to Metal Smithing/ silversmithing  futures program is an Open Making Workshop for all  to learn this incredible skill to open up a world of possibility for future career/ hobby/ maker options or simply have a bit of fun learning a new skill. Parents are most welcome to join in themselves for our homeschoolers with a paying ticket or stay to help their children free of charge- UNDER 10's will need a parent to stay unless approved prior - if unsure please contact us here 

Under the guide of  professional Silversmith Jemica Ostrofski, learn how to design and fabricate texture, create, jewellery using recycled metals and pure silver.

The workshops will run for 4 hours each  and students can make 2-3 pieces. Depending on the type of jewellery chosen, they have the option of making a necklace, earrings, key ring, adjustable ring, and lot more.The option to purchase additional metals  or kits is also available

 WHAT YOU’LL GET

• Sheets necessary for the class  of recycled Aluminium, brass, copper or sterling silver
• Findings to turn your  creations into jewellery / wearable art
• Use of an Apron during the workshop

WHAT TO BRING/WEAR

• All necessary tools and materials will be provided on the day
• Enclosed shoes
• No loose items of clothing (as they may get caught in equipment)
• Hair tied back
CONDITIONS
This workshop is designed for children aged 8 years to 17 years, adults and teens.

 children under 10 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult

There is a minimum  of 3 and maximum for 6 participants for this workshop to go ahead- if the workshop does not go ahead you will be refunded or a rescedule may be offered.
