Join grounded village studio and professional silver smith Jemica for a creative day in the studio in Jimboomba, learning how to design and fabricate textured rings using recycled metals and sterling silver.
The basic silversmithing techniques of ring making including metal texturing, hand sawing, filing, soldering, sanding and polishing will be explored using a variety of tools. You will have the opportunity to add your own creative touches to your rings along the way, while learning key techniques and skills.
The workshop will run for 5 hours of quality learning and hands on creativity in which you will be making 3 rings from copper/ brass/ and sterling silver If you would like to make additional rings, supplies can be purchased during workshop.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING / WEAR:
- All necessary tools and materials will be provided on the day
- Pen and paper to take notes
- Enclosed shoes- strict
- No loose items of clothing (as they may get caught in equipment)-
- Hair tied back- strict
- children can attend on thier own if over 10 years old - if under 10 an adult needs to stay with the child
Drinks & Lunch, can be purchased at the cafe above us and delivered to the studio
Workshop Tuition: includes material costs and use of all tools with a chance to buy extra silver
children over 12years old may attend with a paying adult
